In 2005 it began with three young men. Today the Ennis Czech Boys are suprising many people with their 8 man, full sounding Czech Polka Band. The Ennis Czech Boys consist of Jared Prachyl, Corey Mikula, Jon Marek, Trey Sylvester, Jerry Petter, Frank Vrla III, Michael Trojacek and Zeke Martinez.
Jared Prachyl has been one of the original three band members. Jared plays bass guitar and sings lead vocals. Along with Jared, Corey Mikula and Jon Marek are the other two that started this journey. Corey Mikula is the back bone of the band, keeping a steady beat on the drums. Jon Marek is the Ennis Czech Boys accordion player. These three guys had no idea of what this band would become.
Trey Sylvester plays a major role with the Ennis Czech Boys. Trey is not only the rhythm keyboard player and backing vocals, but he also plays a role as their booking agent. Trey can be reached by phone at 469-693-6357 or Trey_685@yahoo.com.
Jerry Petter, Frank Vrla III, Michael Trojacek and Zeke Martinez are the other wonderful musicians that fill the holes in this Polka Band. Jerry Petter plays saxophone, lead guitar, rhythm guitar and keyboard, accordion, bass, and also sings lead and backing vocals. Frank Vrla III plays saxophone, lead guitar, and rhythm guitar. Michael Trojacek(son of David Trojacek from The Vrazel Polka Band) plays saxophone, rhythm guitar, and sings backing vocals. Zeke Martinez is also a versatile musician with the Ennis Czech Boys. Zeke plays rhythm guitar, lead guitar, backing vocals, lead vocals, drums, and also helps out the boys as an audio technician.
This group of eight musicians continue to keep the Czech Tradition alive and with the help of their fans, family, and friends, you will see many more years of Czech Polka Music.
